• Designed and implemented MPLS-DMVPN architecture for a northern Virginia hosting and disaster recovery company. Designed, configured, and supported various VPN solutions for other customers.

• Managed support side of Cisco's ASET (Advanced SE Training) CCIE-prep program. This included:

• researching and developing lab content covering topics such as: Ethernet switching, IP routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), VPN concentrators, intrusion detection, firewalls, IPsec VPNs using shared keys and certificates, ISDN, Cisco's VoIP CallManager, IPv6, Frame Relay, Storage Area Networks (SANs), and ATM. These labs ranged in difficulty from basic to CCIE level.

• Upgraded corporate headquarters network for a Las Vegas liquor distributor. Installed and configured (all Cisco): firewall, switch stack, switches to support surveillance cameras, wireless LAN controller and wireless access points.

• Extensively configured Cisco ASA 5510 firewall to support VPN users (SSL, AnyConnect, and traditional) using LDAP authentication for general user population.

• Provided extensive support in design and deployment of IP data and VoIP network for new corporate office. Designed and configured a resilient, redundant path OSPF routing domain using Cisco Catalyst 3750 and 6500 switches.

• Optically linked various Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks situated in collocation sites within the Las Vegas metropolitan area.

• Used Network Instrument’s Observer, Ethereal, and other network monitoring tools to capture and characterize traffic at various locations within the network of the Riverside County Superior Court system.

• Presented findings in a detailed 60+ page report customized for the customer.

• Designed and contributed content for an accelerated security course. The course gave Cisco sales engineers an understanding of problems and solutions relating to network security.
